Royal Berkshire British Army Printed Shoulder Title

During the summer of 1944, the men of the 5th Battalion served in the 53rd (Welsh) Infantry Division and took part in the violent fighting of Normandy.

Engaged in the Odon valley and then in the battle of Mont Pinçon, they contributed to the Allied breakthrough that led to the closure of the Falaise pocket.
