Cap Badge "Coldstream Guards"
The 5th Battalion Coldstream Guards landed in Normandy in June 1944 with the 32nd Guards Brigade, the first formation of the Guards Armoured Division to join the bridgehead.
The Coldstream Guards then participated in the fighting around Caen, then in the progress of the Guards Armoured Division through Normandy.
