Cap Badge "Durham Light Infantry"
The 6th, 8th and 9th Battalions Durham Light Infantry belong to the 151st Infantry Brigade of the 50th (Northumbrian) Division and landed on Gold Beach on June 6, 1944.
They then participated in the fighting around Lingèvres and Tilly-sur-Seulles during the Battle of Normandy.
