The PEI Horse landed on 6 July 1944 with II Canadian Corps and took an active part in: Operation Atlantic (Caen, July 1944) Operation Totalize (south of Caen, August 1944) Operation Tractable (Falaise, August 1944)

Assigned to II Canadian Corps for reconnaissance and liaison missions, the PEI Horse played a crucial role by opening the way for infantry and armoured divisions, providing reconnaissance and flank security during the heavy fighting for the liberation of Caen and the closing of the Falaise Pocket

Liner overpainted in brown to reduce shine, while keeping the yellow flash with three red vertical bars of the HQ Squadron clearly visible
