There are three standard types of daggers (Guard S, B-2, B-3), this copy also called "First" is one of the rarest models and the most emblematic of the daggers used by Commando units
The very first F-S type combat knives were manufactured in November 1940 and according to Robert Wilkinson Latham, production began in January 1941
The handle is made of solid brass and cut into 16 lines per inch forming a diamond pattern
The handle and the handguard, curved in S, are covered with a layer of nickel
The blade is sharpened by hand, which explains why it is difficult to find two blades with exactly the same size and shape
Delivered from November 1940 to April 1941, the total number according to Robert Wilkinson Latham would have been 6,779 copies
