US waterproof cover for M5 assault gas mask, four-pressure model used during the 1944 amphitheatre operations

Made of rubberised canvas with OD canvas straps, it retains its beautiful original "US - Army Assault Gas Mask" marking accompanied by the Chemical Warfare Service badge.

This type of cover was distributed in particular to assault troops and airborne units engaged during the Normandy Landing.
