This set is in very good condition, with a few traces of wear

The 8th Battalion Machine Gun of the Middlesex Regiment is mainly equipped with Wickers machine guns and 110mm mortars

Commanded by Colonel M. Crawford, the battalion took an active part in the battles of the Odon, in Operation Epson from 26 to 30 June 1944 and also in the fighting on hill 112, sadly known as the "Verdun of Normandy"
